While reading info about the new iPhone 3G on the o2 uk website i found this:
If you have an existing iPhone you can still enjoy many of the new features by upgrading your software to version 2.0 from 11 July through iTunes.
you will also notice that if you open itunes it will tell you version 7.7 is available. I can only assume this is so because iPhone 2.0 firmware will require new features in itunes!!!! I would get itunes asap to avoid having to download it while servers are under load at apple. Which would mean waiting longer for the update for your original iPhone!!! NOOOOOOO
Ill let you know once i get the iPhone 2.0 firmware (which i will prob be staying up for tonight!)
“O2 has confirmed reports that the iPhone is not currently available anywhere in the UK, and customers may have to wait for the putative 3G Apple iPhone.”
Hey guys, sorry for the lack of posts i have been slacking off :-s (spending tooo much time playing with my iphone)
Anyway thanks to the £100 pound off deal @ O2 i bagged my apple iphone for £169.
Since i have had it i have dones alot of searches and found quite a few cool “mobile” sites with apps on which i will share with you over the coming weeks.
Firstly appmarks.com. Its thanks to a youtube video by Chris Pirillio i found this site. Chris talks about it and other reasons why you SHOULDNT jail brake your iphone (google iphone unlock for info on this).
Its a greate little customisable site desiged to look like the home screen on your iphone. You can add remove and edit apps on the page. There is a directory of apps and you can also submit your own!
Anyway check it out @ http://appmarks.com on your iphone or goto http://www.appmarks.com on your pc to find out more info, check out their blog and developer pages. Alternativly have a look at the demo below!
