If like alot of people you don’t like the new Facebook, from the number of people who are friends with me on facebook who have joined groups like “I HATE THE NEW FACEBOOK” its alot, You will love this
My wonderful girlfriend called me on my lunch break today, and in a rather happy/illated tone informed me of a link to a facebook group which helps you get the old facebook back. From what she told me im not sure if its entirely permenet but if you really don’t like the new facebook its worth a go.

iPhone 2.1 Software Update
iPhone version 2.1 contains many bug fixes and improvements, including the following:
• decrease in call set-up failures and call drops
• significantly improved battery life for most users
• dramatically reduced time to backup to iTunes
• improved email reliability, notably fetching email from POP and Exchange accounts
• faster installation of 3rd party applications
• fixed bugs causing hangs and crashes if you have lots of 3rd party applications
• improved performance in text messaging
• faster loading and searching of contacts
• improved accuracy of the 3G signal strength display
• repeat alert up to two additional times for incoming text messages
• option to wipe data after ten failed passcode attempts
• Genius playlist creation

Goto the website you want to create a shortcut for.
In the top right click the little “Page” drop down and select “Create Application Shortcuts…”
You will get this.
Choose where you want the shortcuts and click ok.
Then celebrate your new Desktop/Startmenu/Quicklaunch icons.
Google has rescinded an article of the user agreement for its new browser, Chrome.
Google has anounced that they will be realeasing a beta version of their new light weight web browser “Chrome” today, (Tuesday 2 September ‘08) for Windows based PCs with Apple Mac and Linux versions not too far behind.
“What we really needed was not just a browser, but also a modern platform for web pages and applications, and that’s what we set out to build,” Mr Pichai, VP Product Management, Google”
It looks like this could be Google’s attempt to try and and tople Microsofts dominance in the web browser market which currently stands @ 80% according to figuires on the BBC tech news site.
Take a look here (Google Blog Comic) for a little more. When i get hold of “Chrome” ill be testing it and seeing if it really is all that! (Hope so!!!)

I used it to make this post!
So i downloaded the new firmware for my iphone on saturday. Took 17 mins to download via iTunes. Then took another 15-20 mins (wasnt counting) to backup my iPhone apply the software then restore it. Once my iPhone was activated (took another 5ish mins) my iPhone decided to retores again? but failed half way through (lost all my notes and home screen icons) but everything else was fine (apart from me forgetting to tell iTunes to sync my contacts :-s which i have now done).
App store = Awsome!
Few apps i would recomend that i have downloaded:
- Facebook [FREE] <- Must have includes FB chat and nicely laid out!
- Twitterific [FREE] <- Well made app paid for version available aswome twitter app
- iPhone Remote [FREE] <- Apple sofware to controll your iTunes from your iPhone. This is a must have if you PC or Mac is hooked into a good set of speakers and you are in the party situation you can just change the track or playlist from where ever you are in your home (provided you are in wireless rang)
- MooCowMusic:Band [5.99] <- AWSOME APP!!! Rock Drum kit, Funky Drummer, Bass guitar, Grand Piano, 12 bar blues and an audience to boot! These are the instruments you can play with!
- TapTap Revenge [FREE] <- A game similar to guitar hero where you tap one of three coloured light beams to the rithem of the music, good fun and very addictive!
More apps are coming out soon once i get my mits on them and if they are any good ill write about them!!!
